Description of problem:
Currently, to use the -i switch for pgsql postmaster you need to edit
/etc/init.d/postgresql. This, and the other postgres config files, are a
pain.

Something like Debian's /etc/postgresql would be *much* better.

Change the configuration file instead of editing the initscript -
/var/lib/pgsql/data/postgresql.conf
Comment 2 Rob K 2001-11-13 19:03:38 EST
Well, that was easy :)

/var/lib is a strange, dare I say nonintuitive, place for config files, though.

Thanks!
