Description Max Kanat-Alexander 2010-02-08 20:47:45 UTC
In order for Apache2::SizeLimit to work properly on RHEL5 (and thus in order for Bugzilla to perform well on RHEL5 under mod_perl):

1) The kernel from bug 322881 has to be installed.
2) Linux::Smaps must be installed.
3) The following patch must be applied to Apache2::SizeLimit:

  http://marc.info/?l=apache-modperl&m=126514792920784&w=2

So, if that Apache2::SizeLimit patch could be backported into the mod_perl package, that would definitely help Bugzilla admins who are using RHEL (which is the majority of Linux Bugzilla installations, I think).

This is needed for our own (Red Hat) move to mod_perl for our Bugzilla system.

There are no plans to resolve this issue in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5, sorry.
