Created attachment 395958 [details] Backtrace from Anaconda Unable to partition system when trying to install in VirtualBox 3.1.4 (booted from DVD iso file). The autopartition failed (no room for LVM).
Does adding updates=http://clumens.fedorapeople.org/567889.img fix this issue?
Created attachment 396157 [details] anaconda.log (with updates=...) Anaconda wrote "unable to mount... updates image", log attached.
Created attachment 396160 [details] storage.log (with updates=...) The last window with failing message from anaconda was: Could not allocate requested partitions: not enough space for LVM requests. [ OK ]
So the next try with updates=... from comment #1 has failed too with the same error message (written above).
Yes, you got an error message instead of a traceback. That's the correct fix here considering autopartition failed.
Created attachment 396234 [details] Traceback from Anaconda after auto-LVM partition failed The fix did not worked. Just gave me one more step (with traceback). Sorry, I did not posted it before. Traceback attached.
I believe that's a different issue than the initial reported one. If you could please test F13 alpha (whenever it appears) and check the status of your second issue, that'd be helpful. Please then file a new bug for that if it still exists. Thanks.
anaconda-13.32-1.fc13 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 13. http://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/anaconda-13.32-1.fc13
anaconda-13.32-1.fc13 has been pushed to the Fedora 13 stable repository. If problems still persist, please make note of it in this bug report.
I reported almost the same behavior (as in original bugreport) as bug #568910. The problem is solved only partially.
