Created attachment 397481 [details] Patch to update redhat-lsb to LSB 4.0. Although RHEL 5 complies with LSB 4.0 in every other way, the redhat-lsb support package only reports support up to version 3.2. The package metadata should be updated to report the newer LSB version supported. This can be done in two ways: - A patch is attached that updates the dependencies and metadata appropriately, written by Stew Benedict of the Linux Foundation. - The redhat-lsb package in Rawhide reports the proper version information; it should be easily back-portable to RHEL. (It may even be based on the attached patch.) Please update this as soon as possible.
latest redhat-lsb has unresolved dependencies: /bin/find /bin/mailx find lives in /usr/bin mailx is not provided by any package, used to be provided by redhat-lsb itself
Ping? This is blocking updates and installation.
I have filed a new bug fo /bin/find issue. https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=639353
Technical note added. If any revisions are required, please edit the "Technical Notes" field accordingly. All revisions will be proofread by the Engineering Content Services team. New Contents: The redhat-lsb support package reported support for LSB version 3.2 and previous versions. However, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 complies with LSB 4.0. This update fixes the package metadata and the package reports it supports LSB version 4.0.
