Description Warren Togami 2010-03-04 16:30:57 UTC
+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #570535 +++

A few weeks ago AIM changed their servers in a way that breaks AIM logins with default pidgin configuration. A workaround exists that involves turning off secure authentication. Upstream recommends the following two patches against our pidgin-2.6.6 for a bugfix update.

http://developer.pidgin.im/viewmtn/revision/info/0e3079d15adeb12c1e57ceaf5bf037f9b71c8abd
Fix SSL clientLogin

Fix clientLogin with configured proxy

We should fix this in both RHEL-4 and RHEL-5.
