Jonathan, Apologies for taking so long to look at this patch. Do you know whether any of the emacs changes made it into EL-6? If possible, I'd like to ensure that the spec file conditionals do the right thing for anyone rebuilding on RHEL/CentOS. (Git is now included in RHEL6, so getting something which they could slurp up would be nice.)
