After looking into backtrace, I've found only one possibility shp==null, but this is required for almost everything in ksh, so it's also hard to believe. I've forwarded this issue to upstream. Waiting for their response. Anyway, if you find some more reliable reproducer, please let me know. I've tried a lot of things, but no crash.
Upstream has suggested the fix. I've prepared packages with that patch, could you please test if it fixes this bug for you or if you can still reproduce this bug with this ksh build? Packages can be found here: http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/getfile?taskID=2097301&name=ksh-20100309-3.fc12.1.bz578582.x86_64.rpm http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/getfile?taskID=2097301&name=ksh-debuginfo-20100309-3.fc12.1.bz578582.x86_64.rpm
I've put these testing rpms here : http://mhlavink.fedorapeople.org/ because koji would remove them soon. Please let me know once you've tested them.
I've downloaded it and been running on it for a little over a day. So far, no news-- however, reproducing the bug has been kind of hit-and-miss in the past.
thanks, I'll report upstream that it works if nothing happens till Tuesday
I've emailed upstream that you did not reproduced this bug with patched ksh so far. I'm waiting for their response, thend I'll do a proper fix.
