nm plasma widget isn't recommended for general use (as you can see).

Newer builds should work better, and not crash at least... thought it still requires some manual configuration (ie, either disabling knetworkmanager autostart or not having it installed, *and* enabling kde-plasma-networkmanagement's kded module).
