Description Jan Pazdziora 2010-04-07 15:42:42 UTC
Description of problem:

The graphical rhn_register and firstboot have page Choose an update location / Choose Server that allow to select whether the machine should be connected to the RHN hosted or to RHN Satellite, and specify URL of the RHN Satellite.

The text rhn_register and firstboot (which essentially calls rhn_register --nox) do not have page where the serverURL could be edited.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

# rpm -qa | egrep 'firstboot|rhn-' | sort
firstboot-1.4.27.8-1.el5
firstboot-tui-1.4.27.8-1.el5
rhn-check-0.4.20-33.el5_5.1
rhn-client-tools-0.4.20-33.el5_5.1
rhn-setup-0.4.20-33.el5_5.1
rhn-setup-gnome-0.4.20-33.el5_5.1
yum-rhn-plugin-0.5.4-15.el5
#

How reproducible:

Deterministic.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Run rhn_register.
2. Run rhn_register --nox.

Actual results:

The GUI tool has the Choose an update location as the second page. The TUI tool does not have that page, goes directly to the Login / password page.

Expected results:

The tools should behave the same -- either both should have the server location selection page, or none.

Well, that bug talks about KVM. If the KVM thing is not relevant in that bugzilla, it should at least be removed from the title of the bugzilla.
