When openais was stopped, in some rare occasions it would freeze because of the use of non-async-signal-safe code inside a signal handler. With this update, openais no longer hangs and works as expected.

This bug has been copied from bug #566467 and has been proposed
to be backported to 5.4 z-stream (EUS).
