Description of problem: The xinetd file references /usr/lib/uucp/uucico which doesn't exist on 64bit -- it's /usr/sbin/uucico now (and has compat symlinks in /usr/lib(64)). Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): uucp-1.07-22.fc13.x86_64 How reproducible: Easy Steps to Reproduce: 1. chkconfig uucp on 2. service xinetd restart Actual results: in /var/log/messages: Apr 17 00:28:07 h1742332 xinetd[4913]: Server /usr/lib/uucp/uucico is not executable [file=/etc/xinetd.d/uucp] [line=10] Apr 17 00:28:07 h1742332 xinetd[4913]: Error parsing attribute server - DISABLING SERVICE [file=/etc/xinetd.d/uucp] [line=10] Expected results: [root@h1742332 stunnel]# netstat -tl | grep uucp tcp 0 0 *:uucp *:* LISTEN Additional info: I've applied for co-maintainership as I suspect I'm one of few actually using this in production. I can fix this myself, just say a word (I have provenpackager).
uucp-1.07-23.fc13 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 13. http://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/uucp-1.07-23.fc13
Thanks for info - fixed in uucp-1.07-23.fc13/fc14. I think there is very low to zero activity in that package so co-maintainership is not needed. Just let me know if you experience something wrong. TIA.
