Description bugzillaredhat 2010-05-14 13:39:52 UTC
abrt 1.0.9 detected a crash.

architecture: i686
Attached file: backtrace
cmdline: epiphany
comment: On one system Epiphany just core dumps without warning, on the machine reporting this I was fortunate enough to receive th e above error. I investigated and noticed that /bin/java did not exist, so as a quick fix: 'sudo ln -s /etc/alternatives/java /bin/java' and I no longer receive the error or crash.
component: epiphany
crash_function: raise
executable: /usr/bin/epiphany
global_uuid: 1041fedfe81e51c585d2dfdb38032bff1a56dc6a
kernel: 2.6.32.11-99.fc12.i686
package: epiphany-2.28.2-1.fc12
rating: 4
reason: Process /usr/bin/epiphany was killed by signal 6 (SIGABRT)
release: Fedora release 12 (Constantine)

How to reproduce
-----
1. upgrade to java-1.6.0-openjdk-plugin-1:1.6.0.0-38.b18.fc12
2. start epiphany and go to a website that requires java
3. core dump and/or "icedteanp plugin error: Failed to run /etc/alternatives/../../bin/java. For more information run "firefox -g" in a terminal window."

Comment 3 Karel Klíč 2010-05-25 09:30:05 UTC
This bug appears to have been filled using a buggy version of ABRT, because
it contains a backtrace which is a duplicate of backtrace from bug #592639.

Sorry for the inconvenience.
