Description of problem: On this particular system, the system hangs completely when going into X. Turning off KMS and using the VESA X driver seems to work. Nouveau or Nvidia proprietary has problems. Ubuntu 10.04 works flawlessly - with either nouveau or nvidia proprietary. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): F12, F13-RC2 How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Boot 2. 3. Actual results: System hangs while entering X. spinning cursor stops, mouse freezes, keyboard freezes. Expected results: Additional info: MSI P41-C31 Motherboard w/ nvidia GeForce 8400GS. Same video card works fine in a machine with an Intel motherboard. I suspect something unique to the MB / PCI Express bus.
