Description Davide Rondini 2010-05-21 10:27:20 UTC
Description of problem:
This is just a suggestion to add a useful functionality: the "Other ports" window in system-config-firewall misses the possibility to disable some ports without deleting them, as it is in the standard services. The usage scenario is like this: I use a specific software which uses a non-standard port (>1024), then to enable it to pass through the firewall it has to be added to "other ports". But the service is used rarely, and after a work session, it is a good thing to disable it and reload firewall rules. For standard ports, this is easy: just check/uncheck the box, but this checkbox is not available for user-defined ports.

The other ports tab is only to add and remove entries. There is no way to have inactive items here.
