> latest update to ktimetracker

No. According to the upstream report, 4.4.0 did that. The latest update is 4.4.3.

> regression

In 4.4.0, compared to 4.3.x, sure. And you noticed it NOW? Can't be that urgent then.

> and has already been fixed upstream

In 4.5 only, because it adds strings. If we backport this to 4.4, we end up with untranslated strings. :-(

So, what do the other maintainers think? Should we backport this patch?

hmm... I guess it's been longer that I thought since I did a yum update. I don't know what motivated me to do it today, but I'm really regretting it now... I use ktimetracker daily, so it is urgent to me. I guess I'll yum remove kde* and then re-install it from the F11 DVD and then exclude it from further yum udpates until 4.5 rolls around...
Comment 3 Kevin Kofler 2010-05-26 22:21:50 EDT
F11 will reach its end of life on June 25, so 4.5 will not come to F11 at all.
Comment 4 Robert Story 2010-05-26 23:10:59 EDT
right.. hmmm... well currently i'm trying to rebuild the f11 4.4. rpm with the upstream patch... if that doesn't work, it looks like f12 DVD has 4.3, so I guess i'd move to f12 and wait for 4.5..

patch to add timetracker patch to spec

For those that don't want to wait for the next release, here is a patch for the src rpm. This patch adds timetracker patch (see next attachment) to spec. Note that this doesn't restore the nice functionality from the previous release, it simply adds a field to modify the time by adding/subtracting minutes. You have to do the math yourself once you get into hours...
