Last modified: 2010-11-10 15:22:47 EST
+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #596735 +++
Description of problem:
Two libraries in the fakeroot package are not stripped. These
$ file /usr/lib64/libfakeroot/libfakeroot-tcp.so
/usr/lib64/libfakeroot/libfakeroot-tcp.so: ELF 64-bit LSB shared object, x86-64, version 1 (GNU/Linux), dynamically linked, not stripped
$ file /usr/lib64/libfakeroot/libfakeroot-sysv.so
/usr/lib64/libfakeroot/libfakeroot-sysv.so: ELF 64-bit LSB shared object, x86-64, version 1 (GNU/Linux), dynamically linked, not stripped
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Run 'file' command on the two files above.
Should be stripped, assuming this doesn't break things.

Emmm RAWHIDE not UPSTREAM.
comment from rjones
the change here is that we strip two libraries which were previously unstripped. I checked already this doesn't break libguestfs builds.
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.0 is now available and should resolve
the problem described in this bug report. This report is therefore being closed
with a resolution of CURRENTRELEASE. You may reopen this bug report if the
solution does not work for you.
