Description Mario Mikocevic 2002-02-28 03:31:30 EST
Description of Problem:

When installing or upgrading package in verbose mode output is
somewhat garbled ->

# rpm -Fvh rawhide*
Preparing... ########################################### [100%]
   1:rawhide-release warning: /etc/issue created as /etc/issue.rpmnew%)
warning: /etc/issue.net created as /etc/issue.net.rpmnew
########################################### [100%]

Wouldn't it be better if it looks something like this ->
# rpm -Fvh rawhide*
Preparing... ########################################### [100%]
   1:rawhide-release
      warning: /etc/issue created as /etc/issue.rpmnew
      warning: /etc/issue.net created as /etc/issue.net.rpmnew
                            ########################################### [100%]

or is it way too much for ncurses ?!
Comment 1 Jeff Johnson 2002-02-28 19:25:53 EST
Yup. Try removing the -h to get rid of the progress bars.

No this isn't an ncurses problem, only two uses for
a file descriptor, status and error reporting, there's
no reason other than aesthetics to "fix".
