RHEL Engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on RHEL 6 through RHEL 9 to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs in the statuses "NEW", "ASSIGNED", and "POST" are being migrated throughout September 2023. Bugs of Red Hat partners with an assigned Engineering Partner Manager (EPM) are migrated in late September as per pre-agreed dates. Bugs against components "kernel", "kernel-rt", and "kpatch" are only migrated if still in "NEW" or "ASSIGNED". If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHEL-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Description Matěj Cepl 2010-06-30 12:39:32 UTC
Souhrn:

SELinux is preventing /sbin/ebtables "search" access .

Podrobný popis:

[ebtables je v toleratním režimu (virtd_t). Přístup byl povolen.]

SELinux denied access requested by ebtables. It is not expected that this access
is required by ebtables and this access may signal an intrusion attempt. It is
also possible that the specific version or configuration of the application is
causing it to require additional access.

Povolení přístupu:

You can generate a local policy module to allow this access - see FAQ
(http://docs.fedoraproject.org/selinux-faq-fc5/#id2961385) Please file a bug
report.

Comment 4 Miroslav Grepl 2010-07-01 16:55:52 UTC
This is different issue.

Matej,
could you try to execute

chcon -t iptables_exec_t /sbin/ebtables

Comment 5 Miroslav Grepl 2010-07-08 07:56:25 UTC
Virt folks,
are you seeing any problems relating to ebtables and libvirt? Could you test it?

Comment 6 Daniel Walsh 2010-07-12 15:28:08 UTC
Miroslav this is the label we have in Rawhide, so lets make it this in RHEL6.

Comment 7 Miroslav Grepl 2010-07-12 15:38:43 UTC
Yes, I added it to Rawhide and will update F13/RHEL6 policy.

Comment 10 Miroslav Grepl 2010-07-14 14:28:18 UTC
Fixed in selinux-policy-3.7.19-32.el6.noarch
