There is already an EL-6 branch here. 

Make sure you do a 'cvs update -d' to pick up new directories.

I'm using the following baseurl for the epel repo:
    baseurl=ftp://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/epel/beta/6/$basearch/
and the synergy-plus package does not exist in that repo.

So which epel repo should I use?

This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 14 development cycle.
Changing version to '14'.

Steve, you probably noticed already but synergy-plus has now made it's way into epel6.
