Last modified: 2007-04-18 12:41:08 EDT
Description of problem:
screen fails to run when started from the default Japanese, Korean or Chinese
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Steps to Reproduce:
1.LC_MESSAGES=C LANG=ja_JP.eucjp screen
2.LC_MESSAGES=C LANG=ko_KR.euckr screen
3.LC_MESSAGES=C LANG=zh_TW.Big5 screen
Actual Results: setreuid: Operation not permitted
Expected Results: should run without any problem
The problem doesn't occur with screen-3.9.10-1 and earlier packages.
doesn't happen with debian's current screen-3.9.11 either.
So it seems to be a Red Hat specific problem.
Yes,... Florian rebuilt screen over the top of the working screen <expletives
I'll be tackling this issue shortly but in the meantime I'll be reverting the
package to 3.9.10-1
consider 3.9.11 a dead duck for the moment
This works for me with 3.9.10-1, which should be in current rawhide. Please
re-open if it persists with that version.
It's back in screen-3.9.11-2 AFAICT! :-(
notting fixed it in screen-3.9.11-3.
Bugger, I completely misread this bug. Sorry.
