Description rodrigue 2010-07-28 09:05:52 UTC
Description of problem: I am using Centos 5.4 64 bit. Firefox 3.0.12 provided with centos is working fine but if I try to use the latest firefox-3.6.8 (the problem happened with most of the 3.6.x version), it crashes when visiting some web pages and in particular http://www.mozilla.com. It is not only firefox that crashes but the whole X session, so you are loosing all your opened applications and you have to login again. I tried to run firefox-3.6.8 using the -safe-mode option but the result is the same.
This seems a similar problem, at least in behavior than https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=455359 but only happening on firefox-3.6 32 bit.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Download latest firefox release from http://www.mozilla.com
2. Launch the new firefox and visit again http://www.mozilla.com

Actual results: You get a black screen and you are presented with the login screen.

Expected results: No Crash

mozilla.com provides only 32bit firefoxes. Closing as duplicate.
