Description Wayne Johnson 2010-07-30 20:28:46 UTC
In the Install Guide, section 32.7.1, there is a typo in example for mounting an NFS filesystem:

 mount -o nolock 10.10.0.2:/usr/new-machines /mnt/temp open -s -w --

The "open -s -w --" at the end of the mount command is not valid.

Comment 3 Ruediger Landmann 2010-08-08 20:01:58 UTC
Thanks Wayne -- that was a linebreak in the wrong spot. The corrected text goes:

mkdir /mnt/temp
mount -o nolock 10.10.0.2:/usr/new-machines /mnt/temp
openvt -s -w -- /mnt/temp/runme
umount /mnt/temp

(I also updated 'open' to 'openvt').

Fixed in build 0-85

"Run a script named runme from an NFS share:

mkdir /mnt/temp
mount -o nolock 10.10.0.2:/usr/new-machines /mnt/temp
openvt -s -w -- /mnt/temp/runme
umount /mnt/temp"

Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.0 is now available and should resolve
the problem described in this bug report. This report is therefore being closed
with a resolution of CURRENTRELEASE. You may reopen this bug report if the
solution does not work for you.
