OS Release: Fedora release 13 (Goddard)

How to reproduce
-----
1. Places -> Connect to server -> choose ssh and enter parameters

All ssh parameter values are correct. The above sequence works in F12-i686 and earlier.
Moments after this event, I successfully opened an SSH connection to the same server while logged-in
to an F12 box.

Comment

This crash is always reproducible. I believe gvfs was working normally prior to some recent update,
but cannot confirm and cannot determine which update. I installed f13 x86_64 on 27 Aug 2010, and
all packages have been updated on four separate occasions. Same sequence of events works normally
in F12, i686.

Seems gvfs on Fedora13, x86-64, has been dead for months. More than a few people have reported
this same problem on x86-64. Is anyone at Redhat looking at this? If not, can anyone at Redhat
suggest some kind of work-around?

How to reproduce
-----
1. Places --> Connect to Server --> GUI opens in Nautilus
2. Menu --> SSH, enter credentials --> "Connect"
3.

Comment
-----
The above sequence with FTP seems to work normally (no 'crash').
(I don't know how software could 'crash', as nothing is actually moving,
but that's a different discussion I suppose...)

This system could be described as "typical installation" -- no special
modification of any kind, but otherwise has all recent updates of
Fedora-13, x86-64. The same attempt on Fedora-12, i686, works
normally. I gather that Fedora-14 has similar problems, and my
copy of Fedora-13, gvfs-sftp, has been broken for months. I suppose
I'll need to continue with Fedora-12 for now.

Comment 15 Bug Zapper 2011-06-01 10:35:00 UTC
This message is a reminder that Fedora 13 is nearing its end of life.
Approximately 30 (thirty) days from now Fedora will stop maintaining
and issuing updates for Fedora 13. It is Fedora's policy to close all
bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time
this bug will be closed as WONTFIX if it remains open with a Fedora
'version' of '13'.

Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you
plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version'
to a later Fedora version prior to Fedora 13's end of life.

Bug Reporter: Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that
we may not be able to fix it before Fedora 13 is end of life. If you
would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it
against a later version of Fedora please change the 'version' of this
bug to the applicable version. If you are unable to change the version,
please add a comment here and someone will do it for you.

Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's
lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a
more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes
bugs or makes them obsolete.

The process we are following is described here:
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/BugZappers/HouseKeeping

Comment 16 Bug Zapper 2011-06-28 14:03:57 UTC
Fedora 13 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2011-06-25. Fedora 13 is
no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further
security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug.

If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of
Fedora please feel free to reopen this bug against that version.

Thank you for reporting this bug and we are sorry it could not be fixed.
