Description Ales Zelinka 2010-08-25 15:02:38 UTC
Description of problem:
Schedule job with 2 tasks, one not suitable for the chosen configuration (i.e. multihost with no --clients/--servers). Currently bkr silently ignores the misfit, giving the impression that all requested tasks were scheduled.

If the job contains only such tasks, beaker (after it ignored them all) at least exits with "You must specify a package, type or task to run" message. Misleading but better than nothing.

Please add a warning listing all tasks that were omitted from the job (preferably with an explanation why).

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
beaker-client-0.5.52-3.el6.noarch

Comment 1 Dan Callaghan 2011-02-01 04:30:14 UTC
Since you mention --clients/--servers I assume you are talking about one of the bkr workflow-* subcommands?

Can you give some example invocations of bkr which show this problem?

Comment 5 Ales Zelinka 2011-08-05 11:08:36 UTC
The task is type:multihost but workflow-simple has changed, see
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=644724#c3

Comment 6 Dan Callaghan 2011-08-08 04:56:32 UTC
Okay, that explains it.

So is there anything left to do for this bug?

Comment 7 Ales Zelinka 2011-08-08 12:11:23 UTC
I guess not. Closing as currentrelease. Thanks.
