The following has been reported by Marian Duffy: Yesterday Ray Strode (rstrode) borrowed my laptop because his laptop's backlight broke and he needed to check on some bugs. He used my laptop (and my user account on the laptop) to log into bugzilla.redhat.com. Before he gave the laptop back to me last night, he logged out of bugzilla and double-checked to confirm that he was logged out. I turned my laptop on this morning. Some hours passed, and I checked my bugzilla mail. I saw there was a new comment on bug 617391, and it asked for my feedback so I clicked on the email link to that bug. Bugzilla loaded up with the standard red Red Hat theme. I scrolled down to the comments section and posted my comment, hitting the submit button. After the page loaded, I noticed the bugzilla theme was now blue and my comment was posted as Ray. - Ray has the blue theme set in his preferences for Bugzilla (I don't, I had never seen it before) - Ray is 100% sure he logged out of Bugzilla the last time he used my laptop last night. - When I first visited the page to post the comment, the theme was red. It seems something a little weird is going on. I told Kevin about this and he said it would be a good idea to write this up here, so here you go. (bug 617391 is where this happened fwiw)
hmmm, I couldn't reproduce this problem I tried the following 2 scenarios and I couldn't reproduce: scenario1: 1- logged in to bugzilla with different user testuser 2- created a bug, then logged out 3- restarted my laptop 4- openned bugzilla, and found that it was asking me to login, and no user was logged in. scenrio2: 1- logged in to bugzilla with different user testuser 2- created a bug, then logged out 3- restarted my laptop 4- logged in to my email using zimbra as nelhawar 5- clicked on one of the bugzilla links in one of my emails. 6- bugzilla oppened and asking me again to login, so no user was logged in already. So what i would say is that maybe Ray didn't logout, and he thought he did? the only way to find out is for Marian to try again. Marian is it possible to try again with Ray the same scenario making sure he logs out and check if this problem happens again. Cheers, Noura
Hi Noura, First off, why does comment 0 say it's from you and not Máirín ? I did very consciously log out after using the machine. But, it's conceivable that I mucked it up somehow. If I did muck it up, though, and didn't manage to log out, then why was the theme red instead of blue? As Máirín mentioned in comment 0, my theme is configured to be blue by default when I'm logged in, and the stock bugzilla theme at redhat.com is red.
(In reply to comment #2) > Hi Noura, > > First off, why does comment 0 say it's from you and not Máirín ? That was me. I asked Noura to create a bug to track this issue based on an email from Máirín. > I did very consciously log out after using the machine. Failing someone providing a reproducible case, I'm marking this as WORKSFORME, since I've heard no other reports about this. -- simon
