Description Andre Robatino 2010-09-29 19:44:47 UTC
Description of problem:
It looks like the install image torrents don't include a checksum file, while the Live torrents each include only an unsigned checksum file (which is useless in a torrent). The checksum files all get signed days before release, so there's no reason the signed checksum files can't be included.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
F14 Alpha and Beta

BTW, this is easy to check with transmission: after clicking on the torrent link, it shows you the torrent's file names and sizes. Signing a checksum file adds about 1K to it, so it's obvious from the size whether it's signed.

At this point I don't want to re-start everybody's torrents by changing the content. The final will have signed CHECKSUM files.

What about replacing the torrents on the website with fixed ones, but leaving the old ones running? The leechers on the old torrents will eventually run out and the seeders can then switch over.
