Description mac 2010-10-09 19:05:54 UTC
Description of problem:

From the setroubleshooter browser:

The firefox application attempted to load ~/.mozilla/firefox/hlioc67e.default/extensions/{340c2bbc-ce74-4362-90b5-7c26312808ef}/platform/Linux_x86-gcc3/components/WeaveCrypto.so which requires text relocation. This is a potential security problem. Most libraries do not need this permission. Libraries are sometimes coded incorrectly and request this permission. The SELinux Memory Protection Tests web page explains how to remove this requirement. You can configure SELinux temporarily to allow ~/.mozilla/firefox/hlioc67e.default/extensions/{340c2bbc-ce74-4362-90b5-7c26312808ef}/platform/Linux_x86-gcc3/components/WeaveCrypto.so to use relocation as a workaround, until the library is fixed. Please file a bug report against this package.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

Firefox Sync 1.5; Firefox 3.6.9

If you want to trust content downloaded from the internet to be executed you can turn off the execmod check.

# setsebool -P allow_execmod 1
