Description Ed Halley 2002-05-06 21:24:26 EDT
Description of Problem:
Under GNOME, trying to run the 'vidwhacker' screen saver choice gives an error
message about a missing image directory.

It appears that the vidwhacker screen saver must be configured to use a
directory for caching or storage or choices. The default settings assume a
directory which does not exist unless explicitly made by the user.

The screen saver should create a generic cache directory on its own if
required, or the setup should include a small generic /usr/share directory with
sample content.

I guess you could set the default imageDirectory in XScreenSaver.ad.in
to /usr/share/pixmaps/backgrounds/ or something, if you are sure that
that directory will always exist and will always have images in it.

Any directory known to have a bunch of big images in it will do.
