Description of problem:
The keyboard brightness keys (fn + F5/F6) don't change the brightness.

How reproducible:
Everytime

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Press fn + F5 or fn+f6 while in a gnome session or gdm
  
Actual results:
Nothing happens

Expected results:
The LCD Brightness level should go up or down and the corresponding indicator should show up in the screen just has happened in F13.

F14 is no longer supported.  If this is still an issue in F15 or later, please reopen.
