(In reply to comment #0) > My Brother hl-2035 printer is not printing, even though it's found by > system-config-printer. Probably the same problem as in bug #645993. Can you attach output from printing troubleshooter to this bug report ? http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Printing/Debugging#Printing_troubleshooter > It is configured in CUPS. This is on a clean install of Fedora 14. When you want to try another driver 1) install foomatic and gutenprint (one of them is now installed but I'm not sure which one): 'yum install gutenprint gutenprint-cups foomatic foomatic-filters foomatic-db foomatic-db-ppds' 2) double-click on the printer queue in system-config-printer 3) click on 'Change...' to change Make and Model 4) select other driver from database Let me know if some other driver works.
Created attachment 464297 [details] Troubleshoot.txt
The foomatic driver that uses the HL1250.PPD is working correctly, except that it won't print some PDFs document. I have attached a txt-file with the output from the troubleshoot. It might have to do with Evince or maybe OOo though
Strangely, the error_log snippet was not captured by the troubleshooter. Can you please take a look through /var/log/cups/error_log* to see logs from around: Thu Dec 2 16:26:23 UTC 2010 (maybe look for '[Job 97]')
Unfortunately I deleted the /var/logs/cups/error_log because its size was 21 GB!

Can you try to print something via the troubleshooter again and attach either the troubleshoot.txt or /var/logs/cups/error_log to bug #645993 ? *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 645993 ***
Whoops. I forgot that we are talking about foomatic now. Reopening. Attach the log to this bug.
This message is a notice that Fedora 14 is now at end of life. Fedora has stopped maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 14. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At this time, all open bugs with a Fedora 'version' of '14' have been closed as WONTFIX. (Please note: Our normal process is to give advanced warning of this occurring, but we forgot to do that. A thousand apologies.) Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, feel free to reopen this bug and simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version. Bug Reporter: Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we were unable to fix it before Fedora 14 reached end of life. If you would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version of Fedora, you are encouraged to click on "Clone This Bug" (top right of this page) and open it against that version of Fedora. Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes bugs or makes them obsolete. The process we are following is described here: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/BugZappers/HouseKeeping
