Description of problem:

I upgraded to F14 and installed the mesa-dri-drivers-experimental on my laptop (Thinkpad W510+ with nVidia QUadro FX 880M video). When I boot and try to enable Desktop Effects I'm told "Accelerated 3D Graphics Is Not Available". 

This had previously worked on F13.

A dialog pops up saying no 3d hardware acceleration found.

Expected results:

3d effects to be enabled.

I have the same problem but with a different card.

This is expected on certain chipsets unfortunately.  You should get 3D back by appending "nouveau.noaccel=0" to your boot options.
