Description of problem:
Running in the Gnome GUI, start a virtual terminal (ctl-alt-f1/2/3/4) then on
return to the GUI (ctl-alt-f7) the system hangs. All keyboard, mouse and display
functions are frozen. The display is the last GUI image with distortion across
the top of the screen. Pinging from a remote system still responds. 

The problem also occurs if the laptop is suspended and revived. The resolution
requires a hard reset and reboot.

1.start in GUI
2.keyboard select a virtual termial
3.return to GUI

Actual Results:  system returns to distorted GUI display and hangs

Expected Results:  system should resume GUI display and continue working.

This has been corrected by a bios upgrade from A09 to A21.
This bug may be closed.

Thanks for the bug report. However, Red Hat no longer maintains this version of
the product. Please upgrade to the latest version and open a new bug if the problem
