Description Gerald Henriksen 2010-12-01 16:55:59 UTC
Description of problem:

Upgraded a fresh install of f14 to rawhide. If I boot into rawhide using the f14 kernel I can play audio, but if I boot with a rawhide (f15) kernel then sound doesn't work.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

All rawhide kernels I have tried.

Additional info:

These 2 lines are the only mention of sound in /var/log/messages and are the same for both f14 and rawhide kernels:

HDA Intel 0000:00:10.1: PCI INT B -> Link[AAZA] -> GSI 22 (level, low) -> IRQ 22
hda_intel: Disable MSI for Nvidia chipset

Try the 2.6.37-rc5 kernel that's in koji now (and will be in tomorrows rawhide) please.

regards, Kyle

Comment 2 Gerald Henriksen 2010-12-10 01:54:34 UTC
Installed 2.6.37-0.rc5.git2.1 from koji and sound works fine.

Thank you.
