This looks like the same failure as bug #607159, but that was fixed in cups-1.4.4-10.fc14. Is it possible that you still had an earlier version of cups installed? What does 'rpm -q --last cups' say?
Tim, I don't see any similarity between this one and bug #607159 (there are lot of backtraces in bug #612078, which is it's duplicate). For me this one seem more like bug #660604, comment #14.
