Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

epel-release-6-5.noarch
redhat-release-server-6Server-6.0.0.37.el6.x86_64
gkrellm-2.3.5-3.el6.x86_64

How reproducible:

everytime

Steps to Reproduce:
1. yum install gkrellm
2. fails with dependency of libntlm.so.0
3.

Actual results:

Installation fails

Expected results:

Installation should succeed.

Additional info:

There is a libntlm-devel in rhel-x86_64-server-optional-6 providing libntlm.so

> rpm -pq --list libntlm-devel-1.0-3.el6.x86_64.rpm
/usr/include/ntlm.h
/usr/lib64/libntlm.so
/usr/lib64/pkgconfig/libntlm.pc
/usr/share/doc/libntlm-devel-1.0
/usr/share/doc/libntlm-devel-1.0/COPYING

> rpm -pq --provides libntlm-devel-1.0-3.el6.x86_64.rpm
pkgconfig(libntlm) = 1.0
libntlm-devel = 1.0-3.el6
libntlm-devel(x86-64) = 1.0-3.el6

however gkrellm specifically needs libntlm.so.0

> rpm -qp --requires gkrellm-2.3.5-3.el6.x86_64.rpm |grep libntlm
libntlm.so.0()(64bit)

Comment 1 Hans de Goede 2011-01-13 13:14:46 UTC
What does: "rpm -q --provides libntlm", or "rpm -qp --provides libntlm1.0-3.el6.x86_64.rpm" say ?

Comment 2 Gerrit Slomma 2011-01-14 08:38:05 UTC
> rpm -qp --provides libntlm-1.0-3.el6.x86_64.rpm
libntlm.so.0()(64bit)
libntlm = 1.0-3.el6
libntlm(x86-64) = 1.0-3.el6

There is one, had to clean the cache again, works now.
Ticket could be closed.
