Description of problem:
Cant enable syntax highlighting (syntax on, syntax enable), spotted on tex and py files. Syntax files are in /usr/share/vim/vim73/syntax/ and looks fine to me.

Tried also:
runtime syntax/tex.vim
set filetype=tex

vim-7.3.289-1.fc14 will be in f14-updates-testing soon. Please install that new version and check if it fixes your issues as it contains many fixes, including some that solve highlighting issues..
