Description of problem:

Virt-Manager is unable to open a connection to the libvirt management daemon.
Error is 

Unable to open connection to hypervisor URI 'qemu+ssh://root.redhat.com/system':
libvirt.libvirtError Connection reset by peer
None

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Launch virt-manager on rhel5.6
2. File->Add Connection. Hypervisor:QEMU Connection:Remote tunnel over SSH
3. Enter hostname and Connect
  
Actual results:
Unable to open connection to hypervisor URI 'qemu+ssh://root.redhat.com/system':
libvirt.libvirtError Connection reset by peer
None

Expected results:
Connected.

This is probably not virt-manager specific. Reassigning to libvirt

what's the result of

virsh --connect qemu+ssh://root.redhat.com/system

is sshd running on that system? does that system definitely allow ssh with the root account? is libvirt running on that system?
