Description of problem: Asterisk packages supplied with F14 are very out of date. This means they currently lack security fixes and more. As of this writing, asterisk-1.6.2.17-rc1 is currently released. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): asterisk-1.6.2.12-0.1.rc1.fc14 I hereby request that asterisk be updated to asterisk-1.6.2.17-rc1
I won't update to a release candidate, but I've started working on updating to the latest released version.
That works well. My main concern at the moment is that there are many outstanding security advisories that are not covered with the currently available version.
