abrt version: 1.1.14
architecture: x86_64

cmdline: /usr/lib64/openoffice.org3/program/simpress.bin -impress
comment: I started writing an AsciiDoc document to generate slides with the slidy backend instead :)
component: openoffice.org
crash_function: SvxNumPositionTabPage::InitControls
executable: /usr/lib64/openoffice.org3/program/simpress.bin
kernel: 2.6.35.10-74.fc14.x86_64
package: openoffice.org-impress-1:3.3.0-19.2.fc14
rating: 4
reason: Process /usr/lib64/openoffice.org3/program/simpress.bin was killed by signal 11 (SIGSEGV)
release: Fedora release 14 (Laughlin)
time: 1295812262
uid: 500

How to reproduce
-----
1. Created a new presentation
2. Created a new slide, added some bulleted text
3. Pressed backspace, accidentally removing the bullet formatting
4. Tried to restore bullet formatting to the line several times
5. Eventually crashed.

caolanm->dtardon: This looks like bug 558342 again. Looking at the changes that workspace.impress180.patch made back then to the old svx/source/dialog/numpages.cxx I don't see those changes in the new cui/source/tabpages/numpages.cxx

Maybe they got lost on the migration of numpages.cxx from one location to another. Seeing as you looked after 558342 the last time, you might have a better idea than me on this one.

Comment 3 David Tardon 2011-01-31 12:14:30 UTC
dtardon->caolanm: Heh, that's because that fix was subsequently fixed in workspace.impress182.patch :-) I see the new code there, so there is yet another problem with it.

Comment 4 David Tardon 2011-01-31 12:33:20 UTC
dtardon->dan: (for future reference :) There are two ways to restore the removed bullet:
1. use Format->Default Formatting
2. use Bullets On/Off button on toolbar twice (it is just right to text alignment)

Comment 5 David Tardon 2011-02-21 13:47:46 UTC
I played with that under valgrind and saw no problems. If you know a way to make it crash, i.e., details of the "Tried to restore bullet formatting to the line several times" step :), feel free to reopen.
