Hi Peter, did you set up your Jack as outlined in /usr/share/doc/jack-audio-connection-kit-1.9.6/README.Fedora ?
Nope, I did not think that was necessary when I am not trying to use the jack audio driver (i.e. fluidsynth -a alsa). On the other hand something maybe should handle this more gracefully then leaving lots of output, and end with jack SIGABRT.
I tried to follow the text and the part about using alsa directly (ie install alsa-plugins-jack, add my user to jackuser and then rebooted my system to be sure). jackd gave the same output as fluidsynth. Also the part about integrating it into pulseaudio needs to be chaged in rawhide, since pulse-rt seems not to be a group on my system and needs to be created. It may also mention if killing of pulseaudio and running jackd needs to be done every time, or if there is a way to automatic set up this every time.
