Description of problem: the web ui (https://beaker.engineering.redhat.com/reserveworkflow/) is very messy with a lot of confusing options. For example, there is Distro Family with RHEL5 and RedHatEnterpriseLinux5, what's the difference? Also RedHatEnterpriseLinux0 is quite impressive release :). Then we have really bunch of tags helping you decide what to install, for example "I CAN ADD ANY TAG I WANT" or "v" or "BLOODBATH". We can also see some potentially useful - like RHEL-4_8-Z-branch but these look empty. And after guessing all these specialities we come to final decision what to install. The list is very long (for RedHatEnterpriseLinux5 / nfs/ RELEASED). This is one BIG mess!. Expected results: The web UI is user-friendly and brings joy and happiness to all people using it :). To achieve that, following should be met: - Distro Family contains only meaningful entries, no two entries point to the same product. - Method is the last one to choose (i.e. is product of distro/family/release choice, not vice versa) - Tags are cleaned up. For special cases use special prefixes, like devel-SNAP4 instead of SNAP4. Non-prefixed should be only those generally understandable (RELEASED for example). - Distro choice should have more user-friendly sorting. This means that stable released trees (or whatever is the most used one) is at the top (so the list begins with RHEL5-U5, rhel5-U4, rhel5-U3,...) and then all those daily builds (shouldn't they be tagged with something else than RELEASED??)
What's the current status? Better, worse, same? Does this bug still need to be tracked as Hot (HotBeakerBugs)? Anything else Beaker crew can do?
it's better, just a few tags there like "I CAN ADD ANY TAG I WANT", is this really something that rel-eng did? ;)
