Description of problem: Sorry for the quotation marks in the summary, I'm not sure what to call it, so I'll just describe: I am using two monitors and running xchat, I have it snapped to the right half of the screen by dragging it to the edge, seeing the tell-tale opaque place holder, releasing the window. If I'm focused on the other monitor When someone pings me then xchat moves to the focused monitor. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): How reproducible: 100% Steps to Reproduce: 1. start with two monitors 2. run xchat 3. snap it to right half of the primary screen (the LVDS monitor) 4. change focus to the secondary screen 5. get notified (connect from another irc client, ping yourself) Actual results: xchat window jumps to other screen. Expected results: no movement of the window. Additional info: If I maximize the window returns to the primary (original) screen. unmaximizing stays there (so by maximize / unmaximize I can work around this - now if I only find the keyboard shortcuts for them). Another very important point: this only happens if I'm currently at the secondary screen (i.e. not the one xchat is snapped to). Tested with xchat in either screen, it still happens, i.e. not related to primary/secondary, just important that the notification comes when focus is in the other screen (relative to xchat's window's screen).
I have just tried to reproduce this one in Fedora 18, but cannot. Are you still hitting this issue in Fedora 18?
This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 19 development cycle. Changing version to '19'. (As we did not run this process for some time, it could affect also pre-Fedora 19 development cycle bugs. We are very sorry. It will help us with cleanup during Fedora 19 End Of Life. Thank you.)
