Throughout http://documentation-stage.bne.redhat.com/docs/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux/6/html-single/Installation_Guide/index.html (in kickstart option descriptions and section C.3) the documentation consistently says that the generated escrow packet files (containing the entered passphrase, or a randomly generated new one), are written to "/ (root)". They are actually written to "/root", as documented at http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Anaconda/Kickstart .
Thanks Miloslav; corrected in build 1.0-12 of the guide. Note to QE: verify in multiple descriptions of the --escrowcert and --backuppassphrase options in section 32.4 and in the paragraph that begins "If you use a kickstart file during installation, you can automatically save the passphrases used during installation to an encrypted file" in "C.3.2. Saving Passphrases"
