Description Andrew Stitcher 2011-02-02 17:20:39 UTC
The protocol change work for the amqp over RDMA on iWarp has been delivered into 1.3.2. This affects all users of RDMA. However late discovered problems with RDMA over iWarp prevent us from resolving bug 484691.

As these protocol changes are not backward compatible a release note is needed to explain the upgrade sequence for current users of RDMA.

Comment 1 Andrew Stitcher 2011-02-02 17:24:58 UTC
Suggested Release note:

Preliminary support for RDMA over iWarp is delivered in this release of MRG Messaging this has forced an update in the RDMA protocol used to transport AMQP:
Previous users of RDMA over Infiniband will need to upgrade any brokers before
upgrading their clients if the upgrade is staged. This is because the new
brokers recognise both the old and new protocol and automatically switch, but
the new clients will only use the new protocol.

Revision 0.2 of the release notes will available for review on the stage
shortly.

Comment 3 Tomas Rusnak 2011-02-11 10:50:05 UTC
Table 2.2 at chapter "2.3. MRG Messaging Enhancements" updated as requested in stage documentation at Revision 1-0.
