Created attachment 476721 [details] dmidecode Description of problem: Macbook Pro (details to follow) running Fedora 14. Sound works fine through the main speakers. However when headphones are plugged in, there is no sound, not from the speakers or the headphones. There is no obvious control anywhere to enable the headphones. The headphones don't appear in pavucontrol or any of the GNOME configuration. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): pulseaudio-0.9.21-7.fc14.x86_64 pavucontrol-0.9.10-1.fc13.x86_64 How reproducible: 100% Steps to Reproduce: 1. Play some music. 2. Plug in headphones. 3. Actual results: No sound from speakers or headphones when the headphones are plugged in. Expected results: Expect to hear sound on the headphones. Additional info:

As a workaround, launch alsamixer and: 1) Press F6 (Select sound card); 2) Select option "0 - HDA Intel"; 3) Unmute the "Speaker 1" by pressing M after selecting it.
