I've a KDE only box, where I installed Empathy. I noticed it would not retain its own gui settings (conversation theme, "show offline"...) until I manually installed dconf, which I suppose already comes bundled with GNOME based Fedora (where I had never experienced such an issue). I'm aware that dconf is not specified as a dependency because Empathy can rely on other backends, but installing that rpm solved my little issue. Given that dconf is only 160kB, and that I spent a hour and half googling for a solution (I don't even remember where I came across it :) ), shouldn't it be wise to make empathy rpm depend on dconf?
