If you go to the overview and search for network, a Place called Network should show up, but it doesn't.

If you run gnome-shell from a console, you'll see this startup message:

JS LOG: Cannot create "Network" item, .desktop file not found or corrupt.

Filing in RH Bugzilla as this may be Fedora-specific.

huh, i thought i replied to this. it still doesn't work on my installed system, i haven't looked on a recent live image yet.
