Mistakenly filed against the wrong SRPM
When you print the HPLIP test page again, do you see exactly the same corruption in the same places, or does it vary?
It's almost exactly the same corruption. Likewise with the train tickets -- the QR code consistently gets turned into thin lines. I'm traveling now, so I won't be able to retry this until the end of the month.
Almost exactly the same? If it's different at all, I would start suspecting the cable... Could you please attach the PPD you are using, from the /etc/cups/ppd/ directory? Thanks.
It can't be the cable; printing from Windows works fine. Actually, I could not reproduce the problem anymore. On a fresh installation of F-14 upgraded to F-15 updates-testing, printing now works just fine (modulo a control center bug that left the printer disabled, https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=691154). In fact, now the printer output matches the Windows driver exactly, whereas before the black always looks less vibrant -- faded, actually -- even at maximum quality. hpijs-3.11.3-1.fc15.x86_64
Sounds like bug #689354. Closing this one as it can't be reproduced any more.
