The automatic page numbering, table of contets, and the cross referencing was being used extensivly.

How to reproduce
-----
1.I created an automatic list of figures using the insert Index/Table
2.I was messing with the settings edit index and table>entries>structure and formating
3.All of the sudden the Changes I was makeing had no  effect, so I tried again
4.That is when it crashed
