The phone is a Nokia 6310i connected via Bluetooth.
The default /etc/gnokiirc has its defaults set to point to this phone.
There seems to be no way to start xgnokii if the defaults aren't set - it doesn't allow you to select from a list of defined phones (ie phone_xxxxxx entries) in /etc/gnokiirc

port = xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx
model = 6310i
connection = bluetooth
initlength = default
use_locking = no
serial_baudrate = 19200
smsc_timeout = 10

The folder list in the SMS component of xgnokii appears wrong too. Stuff arriving in my "inbox" in the phone shows up in the "archive" folder in Xgnokii-SMS.

How to reproduce
-----
1. Run xgnokii
2. Send/receive some SMS
3. Close the app

BTW - no nasty comments about how old my phone is, please.
IMO, this was one of the best phones Nokia ever made and it does everything I want it to do. It's been dropped many times, but just keeps on going.
I've never needed (nor wanted) cameras, polyphonic ring-tones, MP3 player or any other unnecessary crap in a mobile phone.
In fact, I know of plenty of places that require you to surrender your phone before entering if it has a camera or is a smart-phone, because of the security implications.
So Nokia, if you're out there listening, how about keeping models such as the 6310i available for those of us who don't need or want or can't have a so-called smart-phone?

Comment 4 Fedora End Of Life 2012-08-16 16:33:10 UTC
This message is a notice that Fedora 14 is now at end of life. Fedora
has stopped maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 14. It is
Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no
longer maintained. At this time, all open bugs with a Fedora 'version'
of '14' have been closed as WONTFIX.

(Please note: Our normal process is to give advanced warning of this
occurring, but we forgot to do that. A thousand apologies.)

Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you
plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, feel free to reopen
this bug and simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version.

Bug Reporter: Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that
we were unable to fix it before Fedora 14 reached end of life. If you
would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it
against a later version of Fedora, you are encouraged to click on
"Clone This Bug" (top right of this page) and open it against that
version of Fedora.

Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's
lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a
more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes
bugs or makes them obsolete.

The process we are following is described here:
